Belagavi boy appears for SSLC exam hours after mother’s death

Belagavi: This is the most heart touching story reported from any part of the country recently.

A 15-year-old boy appeared for the SSLC examination a few hours after his mother passed away. The only reason behind him doing so is that his mother always aspired to see him as a great person in life.

Mother of Nilesh Goankar, a class X student of the government high school, Kyasaralk in Belagavi district died on Thursday morning when Nilesh was getting ready to leave for the SSLC examination center. She suffered a heart attack.

Nilesh was in utter shock. He was totally clueless about what to do. The locals alerted the education department officials.

Immediately School Development and Monitoring Committee (SDMC) members, SSLC nodal officer Ramesh Gurunath Choudhari, school headmaster Nagaraj Gowda, teachers Vishal Kumar Yalagi, Ravi Kamble and rushes to his house.

They consoled him and convinced him and brought him to the Jagalagote examination center. After the examination, they dropped him back to the house and joined him at the funeral.

KSEEB director V Sumangala appreciated all those who helped the student.
