Bengaluru: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Sunday July 17 said that Namma Clinics (Our Clinics) will be launched in 243 wards of the City next month. He also informed that State Government prioritises health and education in the City.
According to sources, the government is merging the health wing of Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike with the Health Department to ensure seamless service to the public.
These clinics will have all the basic diagnostic facilities including Covid – 19 tests for the public. The clinics aim to provide free health care to the people to improve their quality of living.
He was speaking after inaugurating of several developments works in Mahalakshmi Layout. He said that his government has given a special emphasis on the development of Bengaluru.
“Approval has been provided for the rejuvenation of 75 lakes and the building of 20 schools under the Amrit programme. Funds have been allocated for Bengaluru’s comprehensive development. By constructing an 11 km arterial road that connects Tumakuru Road and Mysuru Road, traffic congestion at several intersections would be reduced by 40 per cent, he said.
Metro Phase-III construction to connect the city’s perimeter will begin next year. Work on the Suburban Rail Project has begun, he said.
