Bengaluru: The State Education Department has transferred as many as 33 Block Education Officers (BEO) to non-executive posts. The reason for this transfer is not mentioned.
This transfer raised questions as it was done after the last date for the general transfer process.
According to sources, the department has asked all the DDPIs to relieve the transferred BEOs immediately and appoint officials of high integrity to these posts.
It can be recalled that recently, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah attacked the State Government over the alleged corruption in the department. After his allegation the government formed a team to look into the allegations of corruption in the department.
