Bengaluru: The Urban Development Department has received over 2,500 objections against the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) delimitation report, which was issued 15 days ago.
The department had set July 7 at 5.00 pm as the deadline for submitting the objections, and the officials are currently reviewing them.
According to sources, a few political parties and citizen groups have also voiced their opposition.
The publication of the final delimitation report will determine who wins the BBMP election. Bengaluru has been operating without a city council since September 2020.
