Bengaluru: A Bengaluru-based couple has gone viral on social media after sharing a detailed breakdown of their monthly investment strategy, offering followers a glimpse into how they manage their finances while planning for long-term wealth and their daughter’s future.
In a video posted on their joint Instagram page, @the12absproject, Megha and Shubham explained how they allocate their savings across different financial instruments as a millennial family living in Bengaluru.
Couple shares monthly investment strategy
The couple revealed that they currently invest ₹65,000 every month through Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs), gradually increasing their contributions over the years as their income grew.
Apart from SIPs, they said they regularly invest in equities, make lump-sum investments whenever possible, contribute towards retirement funds and invest in a government-backed savings scheme to secure their daughter’s future.
Describing the approach as one they have built over time, the couple said disciplined investing has helped them steadily work towards their long-term financial goals.
Social media reacts
The video quickly gained traction, drawing mixed reactions from social media users. While many praised the couple for their financial discipline and transparency, others sought more details about the mutual funds and investment options they use.
Some users, however, pointed out that such a strategy may not be practical for people with lower incomes, arguing that investing ₹65,000 every month is beyond the reach of many households.
Others responded with humour, joking that they too would like to have enough money to invest at that scale.
Not their first viral post
This is not the first time the couple has captured public attention. They had previously gone viral after sharing a detailed breakdown of the ₹6.85 lakh they spent on a 15-day European holiday, including a food bill of ₹1.85 lakh, which generated widespread discussion online.
Their latest post has once again fuelled conversations about personal finance, disciplined investing and the growing trend of creators openly sharing their financial journeys on social media.
