Bengaluru: A 32-year-old woman who worked for an insurance company resorted to suicide at her flat within the limits of the MN Halli Police Station on the outskirts of the city on Friday August 5. According to sources, the victim’s extreme act was the result of her depression over her job.

The deceased has been identified by the police as Shwetha, who lived in a flat close to the APMC Market in Dasanapura. The woman, who worked from home, was found hanging from the ceiling fan hook.

Software engineer Syed Ibrahim is her husband.

When the incident happened, she was alone in the apartment. Ibrahim entered the house with a spare key and found his wife hanging. He immediately brought her down and took her to a local hospital, where she was declared dead. The Nelamangala Government Hospital hosted the post-mortem.

The MN Halli police have registered a case of unnatural death.
