Bengaluru: Higher Education Minister Ashwath Narayan said on Saturday October 15 said that digitisation will soon be mandatory in all aided and private colleges throughout the State. The Education Department is formulating an act to promote decentralisation of education by expanding the possibilities for research collaboration and twinning degrees.
Speaking on Saturday at the Karnataka Education Innovative Conference (KEIC) 2022, he said that the emphasis on digitalisation and unified data are two of the most important factors in the world of modern education.
“The process of “digitalisation,” which is already in place in government colleges, will also be applied to aided and private colleges. In the field of education, unified data and digitisation have taken on a decisive role. With this in mind, government institutions are aiming to become more digital,” he said.
He said that there should be a more open approach and that the government should have little to no control over the field of education. “Our objective is to remove governmental control over the educational field. We are also working towards implementing an act in this regard,” he added.
