A doctor heading a private multi-speciality hospital in Bengaluru has been booked after a woman employee accused him of repeated sexual harassment and objectionable conduct.
Police said the complainant, a 29-year-old woman, had been working as an accountant at the hospital since July 2025.
Employee alleges repeated harassment
According to the complaint, the woman alleged that the doctor repeatedly made inappropriate remarks about her appearance during office hours.
She further claimed he would stare at her while she was in uniform and make comments about her clothing despite her objections.
Messages and calls outside workplace
The complainant also alleged that the harassment continued beyond the office.
She told police that the doctor sent objectionable messages through WhatsApp and later made phone calls in which he allegedly made further inappropriate remarks.
The situation reportedly escalated when one such call was overheard at her home, causing distress and family tension.
Woman resigns, police register case
Following repeated incidents, the woman resigned from her job and approached police.
Based on her complaint, a case has been registered at HSR Layout Police Station. Police said the accused doctor was out of station and further legal action would follow upon his return.
