Bengaluru: The Bengaluru doctor, one among two of first cases in India who had tested positive for Omicron has again tested positive for Covid on Tuesday December 7.
As per Health Ministry’s mandate, the RT – PCR test was conducted seven days after his last test. A senior official said that he will be kept under observation for next one week and would be discharged only after a negative RT – PCR test.However, five others who had come in contact with the doctor have been tested negative for Omicron.
India’s total tally of the new Coronavirus variant is 23 till date. With the emergence of the new variant, several states have stepped up vaccination, surveillance and containment measures.
