Bengaluru: In an shocking incident, a father attempted to murder his son for property. The incident took place in Koratagere Police Station limits of Doddanarasayyana Palya in Channarayanadurga Hobli of the Taluk.
Father, Krishnappa, tried to murder his son Lakshmikantaraju. The accused Krishnappa has two sons and no one has been given a share of the land. Both the children earn a living by working as labourers.
Lakshmikantharaju and his father were at loggerheads with each other and Krishnappa was allegedly quarrelling with Lakshmikantharaju and his daughter-in-law. Further, they were told to leave the house. However, when they refused to leave the house, father got angry and assaulted Lakshmikantharaju with an iron rod during which he was seriously injured and collapsed, while the neighbours came to rescue him.
Krishnappa fled from the spot as soon as the neighbours gathered. Lakshmikanth, who sustained serious injuries, was rushed to Tumakuru District Hospital where he was given first aid and later shifted to NIMHANS Hospital in Bengaluru.
A case has been registered at Koratagere Police Station. The accused Krishnappa has been arrested and produced before the court which has remanded him to judicial custody.
