Bengaluru: Ganesha immersion, liquor sale banned for 2 days

Bengaluru: Police Commissioner Pratap Reddy has banned the sale of liquor in three police divisions on account of Ganesha immersion processions over Saturday and Sunday.

The sale of liquor is not permitted in KG Halli, DJ Halli, Govindapura, Banaswadi, Commercial Street, Shivajinagar, Bharathinagar, Pulkeshinagar, and Halasoor from September 4, 6.00 pm to 6.00 am in the east division.

Prohibition is in effect in Vidyaranyapura, Yelahanka, Yelahanka New Town, and Kodigehalli in the northeast division from September 3, 6.00 pm to September 5, 6.00 am.

Liquor sales will not be allowed from September 2, 6.00 pm to September 4, 6.00 am in the north division’s JC Nagar, Hebbal, RT Nagar, and Sanjaynagar.
