Bengaluru is buzzing with anticipation for the 15th edition of the Aero India Show, scheduled from February 10-14 at Yelahanka Air Force Station. However, excitement has led to heavy traffic congestion, with commuters experiencing long delays in and around Yelahanka. On Saturday morning, traffic jams stretching up to 5 kilometers were reported, leaving travelers stuck for hours.

Passengers heading to Kempegowda International Airport were advised to plan accordingly, as delays could affect flight schedules. As delegates and visitors from across the country arrived for the event, the Bengaluru police issued warnings about expected traffic bottlenecks. Social media videos of the massive gridlock showed frustrated drivers trying to navigate the jam, with some users suggesting alternate travel methods, like buses, to avoid further congestion.

The Bengaluru Traffic Police also cautioned travelers about severe congestion near the BSF Campus on Yelahanka Road, advising them to use alternative routes like Hennur Cross and Bagalur Road to reach the airport’s south gate. Authorities warned that the situation might worsen as the event progresses.

In addition to the Aero India Show, hotels in Bengaluru are fully booked due to the simultaneous Global Investors Summit, further intensifying the pressure on the city’s infrastructure. With rehearsals already underway, both events are expected to impact local traffic and flight operations, potentially causing delays and cancellations.
