
Bengaluru Gears Up for Safe New Year Celebrations
Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara assured the public that robust safety measures are in place across Bengaluru and the state for New Year’s Eve. Thousands of police personnel have been deployed to maintain order and prevent any incidents during the celebrations.
Speaking to the media, Parameshwara urged citizens to celebrate responsibly and avoid disruptive behavior. “We have issued warnings to those intending to create disturbances. Extensive preparations have been made, and I appeal to everyone to ensure a joyful and safe New Year,” he said.
The Bengaluru Police have implemented stringent security measures, particularly in areas with high foot traffic. A force of 11,830 personnel, including senior officers and civil defense staff, will oversee the festivities. Authorities will closely monitor traffic and crack down on illegal rave parties and drug activities.
Celebrations will adhere to a strict 1 a.m. deadline, with the police ensuring compliance. Public safety remains the priority, and officials are committed to ensuring an enjoyable start to 2025 for all residents and visitors in Bengaluru.
