Bengaluru: Google on Wednesday July 27 announced a partnership with Bengaluru traffic police to optimise the timing of the traffic signals.
“This is helping the local traffic authority manage road congestion at key intersections, and will eventually scale across the city. Google will further expand this to Kolkata and Hyderabad in partnership with local traffic authorities,” stated a press release from the company.
Google has made advantage of data that the Bengaluru traffic police shared and accessed by Google Maps.
