Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court now has five additional judges. Anil Bheemsen Katti, Grusiddaiah Basavaraja, Chandrashekhar Mrutyunjaya Joshi, Umesh Manjunathbhat Adiga, and Talked Girigowda Shivashankar Gowda have been appointed by the President as additional judges.
According to a notification released by the Centre, the other four judges will each have terms of two years beginning on the date of taking charge, while Anil Bheemsen Katti will serve as an additional judge from the date of taking charge till April 16, 2024.
With these appointments, the High Court now has 48 judges as against from the 62 judges that were officially sanctioned.
