Bengaluru: Incessant rains flood City, traffic advisory issued

Bengaluru: The traffic police have issued an advisory to the people regarding flooding and inundation, especially in the Mahadevapura area, after heavy rains created heavy waterlogging in various areas of the City.

The majority of Mahadevapura’s areas have seen 11 to 14 cm of rain over the past 24 hours, and many of these areas have been severely affected by flooding.

According to the police, flooding in nearby areas of Mahadevapura has severely disrupted traffic on Yemalur Main road, Borewell road, Whitefield Main road, OAR, Balagere Main road, ORR Bellandur near Ecospace, Sarjapur Road near Rainbow Drive.

The traffic police have advised residents to work from home and not leave their homes unless there is an emergency. The police also asked parents to avoid sending their children to school.

Emergency response teams are being mobilised to help all the affected residents, informed the traffic police.
