I wholeheartedly thank the BJP workers and people of Chikkmagaluru. All of them have been supporting me all these years. Congratulations to all the winning candidates. Wish them all the best in the coming days,” C.T Ravi tweeted.

In another tweet, C.T Ravi mentioned that this defeat is not a defeat of ideology. This is our personal failure, will find out where it went wrong and rectify the mistake in the coming days. Thanks to all Kannadigas who supported us, he tweeted.

That is not a defeat for our ideology. We will review where we went wrong and correct it. Our efforts to build a golden Karnataka will continue. Thank you to all Kannadigas who have supported us,” said CT Ravi.

Congress has achieved an unprecedented victory in the assembly elections. By winning 136 constituencies, Congress has secured absolute majority and came to power. Now BJP won only in 65 constituencies and JDS position fell to 19. While the Congress is celebrating the victory, the BJP is looking forward to the defeat.
