Bengaluru: The city is now experiencing the cultural richness of Kambala, an ancient coastal folk sport deeply rooted in agriculture. Originating from the coastal region with a rich history, Kambala has found its stage in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru is hosting a two-day Kambala Kalarava at the Palace Grounds starting today. This marks a historic moment as the cultural sport, traditionally limited to coastal communities, is now being introduced to Bengaluru residents for the first time. Anticipation is high, with millions eager to witness this unique event.

In the Silicon City, Kambala is taking place with our Kambala slogan, featuring 200 pairs of buffaloes ready to participate in the race. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is set to inaugurate the Kambala on Saturday afternoon. Preceding this, Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar will inaugurate the Kambala Jodu Lake (Kambala track) named after Raja Maharaja. This lake is the longest, spanning 155 meters.
