Bengaluru: Karnataka Ratna to be conferred posthumously on Appu

Bengaluru: ‘Karnataka Ratna’, the State’s highest civilian award, will be conferred posthumously on actor Puneeth Rajkumar on Tuesday November 1 during the 67th Kannada Rajyotsava. He will be the 9th recipient of this prestigious honour.

The event will take place on the fore steps of Vidhana Soudha.

The event’s guests will include movie stars Rajinikanth and Junior NTR as well as Sudha Murty, Chairperson of the Infosys Foundation.

The late actor’s wife Ashwini Puneeth Rajkumar, as well as his brothers Shivarajkumar and Raghavendra Rajkumar, will likely accept the award, which will be presented by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
