A newly opened museum in Bengaluru focuses on the history and development of traffic management while raising awareness about road safety and educating the public on traffic regulations, as reported by PTI.

The museum features a variety of exhibits, including vintage traffic equipment, historical uniforms, photos, and documents, alongside interactive displays designed to teach traffic safety. It aims to be a valuable resource for students, researchers, traffic professionals, and enthusiasts. The Bengaluru Traffic Police emphasized that the museum’s mission is to highlight the crucial work of traffic personnel and encourage better road safety practices.

Additionally, an Experience Centre has been launched, offering a modern, interactive environment for learning. It includes simulated traffic scenarios, quizzes, and games all focused on road safety education. The centre also features a real-time digital model of Bengaluru’s traffic, allowing users to engage with hands-on learning experiences. Educational programs and traffic management workshops will be hosted here for schools and colleges.

As part of the initiative, the ASTraM Mobile app was introduced, which provides real-time traffic updates and features for accident reporting, violation tracking, and payment of fines.

The event also saw the release of a Coffee Table Book detailing the history of the Bengaluru Traffic Police, available both in print and digitally on their official website.

These initiatives are designed to improve traffic safety education and management, aiming for a safer Bengaluru for all commuters.
