Bengaluru Launches New Electric Airport Taxi Service
Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar launched a new fleet of electric airport taxis in Bengaluru on Wednesday, operated by Refex eVeelz, a private company. This initiative, in collaboration with the Bengaluru airport operator, marks a significant step toward sustainable urban transportation. As part of this launch, Refex eVeelz added over 170 electric cars to its existing fleet of 200 vehicles. The electric taxis will cater to the growing demand for eco-friendly transportation options, particularly for airport transfers.
Passengers can pre-book these electric cabs through the company’s dedicated app, with a special limited-time offer of Rs 699 for any distance. This pricing strategy is expected to attract more customers while promoting the use of electric vehicles, thereby reducing carbon emissions in the city. The introduction of these electric taxis aligns with Bengaluru’s larger vision of fostering green initiatives and reducing the city’s carbon footprint.
Refex eVeelz offers a range of electric car models for its airport taxi service, providing passengers with both comfort and sustainability. The initiative not only supports the city’s environmental goals but also addresses the growing demand for efficient and affordable airport transportation services. This move sets the stage for more environmentally conscious projects in the future.
