Bengaluru: Man gets lifer for murdering wife

The Special CBI Court in Jammu on Tuesday sentenced a former Executive Engineer of Northern Railways to five years' imprisonment in a bribery case

Bengaluru: A man was given a life sentence in prison by a Bengaluru Sessions Court for killing his wife after she died from his acid attack.

According to sources, the couple got married in 1966. He suspected his wife’s fidelity as she was beautiful and poured acid on her.

Two months after the incident Manjula succumbed to her injuries on September 29, 2017. The case was registered in the Kempegowda Nagar Police Station.

Judge Manjunath of the XXXVI City Civil and Sessions Court found Chennegowda guilty of murder, an acid attack, and assaulting his wife. He received a life sentence for the murder, ten years for the acid attack, and two years for the cruelty.
