Ride-hailing troubles are a daily struggle in Bengaluru, but one commuter came up with an ingenious workaround. Frustrated by long wait times on Uber and Ola, he opted for an unconventional choice—booking a Porter ride, a service typically meant for transporting goods instead of passengers.
The commuter, identified as Pathik on social media, posted a now-viral image of himself riding pillion on a Porter two-wheeler. The picture, featuring the delivery partner ahead and the company’s logo on his helmet, was captioned: “Had to Porter myself to work today because no Ola, Uber.”
Since its upload on February 6, the post has amassed over 32,000 views, triggering a wave of amusement and discussion online.
Bengaluru’s transportation woes continue to push commuters towards creative alternatives, with many resonating with Pathik’s out-of-the-box solution.
