Bengaluru: Senior Leader from Kalaburugi Babu Rao Chinchansur, a BJP MLC has quit party.
He submitted his resignation letter to Council Chairman Basavaraja Horatti. Babu Rao Chinchansur is likely to join Congress, his mother party and contest from Gurumitkal Constituency in the upcoming Assembly election.
According to sources, All India Congress Committee President Mallikarjun Kharge and his son Priyank Kharge convinced him to return to party fold and contest in the election.
