Bengaluru: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) appointed Former MLC, Theatre Personality and Actor Mukhyamantri Chandru as its State Campaign Committee Chief.
A decision in this regard was announced by the Party State In-Charge Dilip Pandey. Chandru, who was in BJP joined Congress, where he was reportedly sidelined under D. K. Shivakumar’s leadership. Upset by this, recently he moved to AAP.
A leader from the Backward Class Community, he is known for his roles in the theatre and Kannada films.
AAP State President Prithvi Reddy expressed confidence that Chandru will help the party strengthen its base further in the State.
