In a swift operation, the Central Crime Branch (CCB) of Bengaluru has dismantled two illegal prostitution rackets within three days, resulting in the arrest of two suspects and the rescue of 11 victims. The CCB’s Women Protection Wing conducted the operations on October 9 and 11, targeting high-profile clientele and utilizing luxury hotels as fronts for their activities.

On October 11, police apprehended a couple, Prakash (46) and Parijata (42), residents of Govindaraj Nagar, during their attempt to transport four victims to a hotel on the city’s outskirts. This marked the second attempt to catch the couple, following a failed operation earlier in Pondicherry. Investigations revealed that the suspects had been running their operation for approximately two and a half years, specifically targeting events held at upscale venues.

In a separate case, the CCB team rescued seven women from a homestay in Whitefield, with the pimps linked to the operation located in different states. Police are currently conducting a manhunt for five kingpins believed to be based in Delhi, who utilized social media to attract clients.

Both cases have led to FIRs filed under the Immoral Traffic Prevention Act and related sections of the law. Authorities are also investigating potential collusion with hotel management involved in facilitating these activities.
