Bengaluru: In a major breakthrough, Bengaluru Police have dismantled a large-scale cyber fraud operation, apprehending six individuals involved in an ₹854 crore scam that targeted victims across India through a fraudulent investment scheme. The suspects, all residents of Bengaluru, allegedly lured victims via WhatsApp and Telegram, promising daily profits ranging from ₹1,000 to 5,000 on investments varying from ₹1,000 to 10 lakh. Thousands of individuals fell victim to their deceptive tactics.

The criminals employed various online payment methods, including cryptocurrency platforms like Binance, and diverted the ill-gotten funds into different accounts, making the tracing process challenging. Despite this, law enforcement authorities have managed to arrest six individuals involved in the scam. Efforts are currently underway to apprehend the three masterminds behind this elaborate cyber fraud operation.
