Bengaluru: The State Government has increased the reward amount from Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 5 lakh for those who provide tip-offs on criminal activities like weapon and drug smuggling, said Home Minister Araga Jnanendra.
The DG & IGP of Karnataka Police had put proposal of revising the reward amount, which was approved by the Minister on Thursday December 15. The amount was last revised in the year 2017.
In the last three years, no reward amount was released under the Financial Authority of the DGP.
