Bengaluru: A shocking revelation has emerged from Parappa’s Agrahara Central Jail, where rowdy sheeters detained there have been implicated in plotting two murders while serving their sentences.

According to Prajavani, the accused individuals utilised mobile phones to communicate and coordinate their plans. During the investigation, police discovered that the rowdies had exchanged messages on Instagram and made internet calls related to the murder cases.

The CCB (Central Crime Branch) conducted an inspection of the jail on Saturday, August 24th, and encountered delays in gaining access. CCB officials reported that the prison staff was engaged in transporting items during their visit.

Earlier this year, jail authorities had successfully intercepted attempts to smuggle drugs and mobile phones into the facility. In April, two inmates were found in possession of ₹10,000 in cash and three steel knives.

The revelation of these criminal activities within the prison raises serious questions about security measures and the potential for inmates to engage in illegal activities while incarcerated. Authorities will likely investigate the incident further to determine how the rowdy sheeters managed to obtain and use mobile phones within the jail.
