Bengaluru: Second phase of Prajadhvani Yatra to begin on Feb 3

Bengaluru: The first phase of Prajadhvani Yatra undertaken by the Opposition Congress ahead of the upcoming elections will conclude by the end of this month.

Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah led by Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee President D. K. Shivakumar, will launch the second phase of Prajadhvani Yatra from February 3.

Opposition Leader Siddaramaiah will begin his Yatra from Basavakalyan Constituency in Bidar District while KPCC President D. K. Shivakumar will begin his Yatra from Mulabagilu in Kolar. In the first phase, the two leaders undertook a joint bus yatra in 20 districts of the State. The second phase of the Prajadhvani Yatra will be undertaken separately with their team.

Siddaramaiah, who will begin his yatra from Basavakalyan in Bidar on February 3, will visit Anubhava Mantapa there, garland Basaveshwara’s statue and address a public meeting at Basava kalyana. He will then attend a function in Balki and stay there in the evening.

On February 4, he will arrive in Aurad from Balki where he will attend a public meeting. From there, he will travel to Bidar and Humnabad Constituencies and visit Kalaburagi. On the morning of February 5, he will take a helicopter from Kalaburagi and take part in a religious programme at Mylara. He will then return to Kalaburagi and the next day attend a public meeting in Kalaburagi Rural, Chincholi and Sedam Constituencies.

On February 7, he will address public rallies in Alanda, Afzalpur and Jewargi, on February 8 in Chittapur Constituencies, on February 10 in Surapura, Shahapur, Kalaburagi North aswwlo as South Constituencies and on February 11 in Sindagi, Indi and Nagathana Constituencies.

Siddaramaiah will be on a seven-day tour of three Districts of Kalyana Karnataka region.

On February 9, he will participate in a religious programme at Rajanahalli in Davanagere. On February 12, he will undertake a yatra in Babaleshwara, Devarahipparagi and Basavanabagewadi Constituencies in Vijayapura District of Kittur Karnataka.

Later, he will arrive in Bengaluru and participate in the Assembly proceedings from February 13.

Similarly, KPCC President D. K. Shivakumar will tour four Districts from February 3 to 9 and will begin his programme by offering prayers at the Mahaganapathi Temple at Kurudumale in Mulabagalu Constituency of Kolar District. On the same day, he will participate in the conference and in the afternoon he will participate in a programme at KGF Constituency.

He will participate in programmes at Malur and Devanahalli on February 4 and take a break from Prajadhvani Yatra on February 5. He will be campaigning in Challakere and Molakalmuru Constituencies in Chitradurga District on February 6 and Holalkere and Hosadurga Constituencies on February 7. On February 8, Prajadhvani Yatra will be held in Shikaripura, Soraba and Sagar Constituencies of Shivamogga District and on February 9 in Theerthahalli and Bhadravathi Constituencies.
