Bengaluru: Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President D. K. Shivakumar using the same tricks used by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in other states to defeat Congress to defeat BJP in State. Latest strategy adopted by Congress is luring BJP leaders close to Former Chief Minister B. S. Yediyurappa to defeat BJP where the Party is weak.

Latest example of this is inducting Former MLC Mohan Limbikai into the party fold. He was welcomed by Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar in Belagavi.

Limbikai is considered to be very close to BJP leader BSY. Congress plan is fielding him from Dharawad against BJP incumbent MLA Aravind Bellad. Aravind Bellad is known as anti Yediyurappa MLA.

Congress shopping list does not stop here. It is planning to induct Appupattana Shetty, a BJP Leader from Vijayapura to field against incumbent MLA Basanagouda Ramangouda Patil Yatnal. Shetty is a staunch Yediyurappa supporter.

“BSY assured both these leaders that he will ensure their victory against BJP candidates if they are able to get Congress tickets,” said a BJP Leader.

“Yatnal and Bellad are anti-BSY leaders. BSY doesn’t want them to get elected again,” he explained.
