Bengaluru: Shop owner assaulted for asking loan repayment

Bengaluru: The Kengeri Police has arrested a man for allegedly assaulting a condiments shop owner for asking pending loan amount.

The arrested has been identified as Salman Tippu (28), a resident of Kengeri suburb. On January 10, owner of Chowdeshwari Condiments G. V. Shivakumar was assaulted by the accused along with three of his accomplices. The accused Tipu used to visit Shivakumar’s condiments frequently. He took a cigarette without paying money.

On January 10, the accused came to the shop and asked for tea and cigarettes. At that time, Shivakumar asked balance amount of Rs. 950. Accused abused him. Around 6.00 pm, he, along with three of his accomplices, came back to the tea stall and started a scuffle. When it turned out to be a disaster, the accused and his accomplices assaulted Shivakumar.
