In a shocking incident linked to professional rivalry, a Bengaluru salon owner was allegedly abducted and brutally assaulted by a gang led by his former employer.

According to police reports, Sanju PB, 40, proprietor of Royal Choice Salon and Spa on Bhuvaneshwarinagar Main Road, was attacked around 8 PM on Thursday. The accused, identified as Nisha alias Smitha, along with Kavya, Mohammed, and two unidentified men, stormed into Sanju’s spa.

Kavya reportedly grabbed Sanju by the collar and began hitting him, followed by blows from Mohammed and the others. The group then forced Sanju into a car and drove him around areas including Dasarahalli and Jakkur, where they continued to beat and verbally abuse him. During the drive, Smitha allegedly threatened to burn him alive.

The entire ordeal unfolded in front of Sanju’s wife, who immediately contacted the Amruthahalli police. Responding quickly, officers called Smitha, which seemingly pressured the group into releasing Sanju in Amruthanagar around 9:30 PM.

CCTV footage provided by Sanju showed a woman smoking while attacking him, further supporting his claims. Law enforcement has since arrested Smitha, who has been remanded to judicial custody, while Kavya and Mohammed are in police custody. A search is underway for the remaining suspects.

Sanju had previously worked at Smitha’s spa in Sahakaranagar, which shut down eight months ago. After she opened a new spa in Yelahanka, Sanju chose to launch his own business—leading to the violent fallout.
