Bengaluru: Education Minister Nagesh has promised to re-examine the fees fixed for the SSLC preliminary examination.
Under Rule 330, JD(S)’s S. L. Bhojegowda, K. A.Thippeswamy referring to the issue said that the School Education and Literacy Department has already sanctioned Rs. 60 to each student in connection with the SSLC preparatory exam.
The fee has been fixed. This has caused problems to poor students in rural areas. He demanded that the fee policy should be withdrawn immediately.
To this, the Minister said earlier, question papers of the preparatory examination were distributed through the Headmasters’ Association. Even then, students were charged fees. To avoid this, the model question papers will be distributed as subject-wise question papers at the BEO level. The fee fixed earlier for the year 2021 – 2022 has been retained, he added.
