Bengaluru: Hampi Sugars Pvt. Ltd. to be set up at Jambunathanahalli in Hosapete Taluk of Vijayanagara District. The sugar factory will be set up and it has been approved by the Cabinet, said Tourism, Environment and Ecology Minister Anand Singh.
Addressing a press conference at Vidhana Soudha here on Wednesday March 8, he said that the sugar factory in the District had been shut down for many years. The Hampi Sugars Factory will now come up on 84 acres of land. The Revenue Department has given its consent to allot the required space for the same. Hampi Sugars Pvt. Ltd, which will be set up at a cost of Rs. 484 Crore at Jambunathanahalli, will be set up at a cost of Rs. 484 Crore. It is a factory owned by Siddheshwar, he said.
He said that the opening of the new factory will create 2,000 jobs locally and the process of setting up the factory will begin soon.
