Sunny R Gupta, a Bengaluru techie, recently shared his unique experience of ordering food via Zomato during his train journey from Mumbai to Pune. His post, now viral on X, details how he decided to try Zomato’s train delivery service after receiving a prompt to enter his Passenger Name Record (PNR) on the app. Curious, he ordered a Triple Schezwan Rice, selecting Panvel as his delivery station.

However, things took an unexpected turn when his train was delayed, causing a hiccup in the delivery process. Gupta humorously explained that the delivery agent had already arrived at Panvel, while the train had not yet reached the station. “This is probably the first time I’m taking revenge on @zomato,” he joked, thanking the delivery agent for his patience and promising to tip him extra on the next order.

Despite the delay, Gupta shared a video of the food being handed over to him smoothly, praising the polite delivery person. However, he pointed out a small flaw: the restaurant did not provide cutlery, which he found inconvenient while on a moving train. He mentioned he would raise this issue with Zomato for improvement.

Gupta’s post has since gone viral, accumulating over 9 lakh views, sparking conversations around food delivery services during train journeys.
