In an inspiring achievement, 14-year-old Maanasi Gowthaman has earned international recognition after authoring a widely praised book on adolescent behaviour and teenage mental wellbeing.
Her debut book, Mind Mahatva – The Teen Mind Matters, published by Notion Press, has reached the number one position across multiple Amazon categories in India, the United States and Canada.
Youngest author in this field
Maanasi has officially been recognised as the youngest person to write a book on adolescent behaviour. Born on May 1, 2011, she completed the 178-page English book at the age of 14 years, 9 months and 27 days.
The book also includes seven practical worksheets designed to help teenagers reflect on emotions, self-esteem and personal growth.
Honoured by Asia Book of Records
Adding to her success, the Asia Book of Records has conferred on her the title of Grand Master for the same work.
The honour recognises her outstanding contribution to adolescent literature and youth emotional wellbeing at a remarkably young age.
Written by a teen for teens
What makes the book stand out is its perspective. Unlike many titles written about teenagers by adults, Mind Mahatva speaks directly from a teenager’s lived experience.
The book explores identity struggles, peer pressure, emotional health, confidence, resilience and the realities of growing up in a digital world.
It has also drawn praise from parents, teachers and counsellors for helping bridge understanding between teenagers and adults.
A powerful young voice rises
Maanasi’s achievement reflects the emergence of a new generation of thoughtful young writers willing to address serious issues with honesty and courage.
Her success is not only a personal milestone but also a proud moment for Bengaluru and Karnataka
