Bengaluru: Hindutva activists tore the flexes of Tipu Sultan in Congress rally venues in the City after 10.30 pm on Saturday August 13. The incidents were reported from the KR circle and Hudson circle.
The police informed that they received two complaints in this regard.
According to sources, a group of 8 to 10 youth tore the flexes as an act of revenge against opposing Veer Savarkar’s photos in Shivamogga mall. The group live-streamed their act. Now, the police launched an investigation in this regard.
The Halasuru Gate Police Station visited the sites.
Meanwhile, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President D. K. Shivakumar and his MP brother D. K. Suresh also visited these incident sites and condemned the act. They warned to protest if the police fail to act.
