Bengaluru to have 30,000 beds at converted Covid 19 care centers

Bengaluru: With the idea of ensuring that the COVID 19 positive patients do not face a dearth of beds the state government has decided to provide a large number of additional beds. C. N. Ashwath Narayan who has been given the responsibility of arranging enough beds at the COVID 19 care facilities announced that the idea behind a large number of beds is ensuring that patients will not suffer.

“With 10,250 beds, Bengaluru International Exhibition center COVID 19 care center will be the biggest such care center across the world. A 7,000-bed capacity COVID 19 care center is also proposed in palace grounds. Every care center will have 10 beds ICU facility also,” he said.

Various hostels and the buildings will be converted into COVID 19 centers. “All should join this effort in our fight against COVID 19,” he said.
