The Nightingale Empowerment Foundation will host its 10th Senior Citizens’ Job Fair on September 7, at St Joseph’s University, Langford Road, from 9 am to 3 pm.

Organised in collaboration with the Nightingales Medical Trust, Archdiocese of Bangalore, and St Joseph’s University, the fair is exclusively open to individuals aged 55 to 70 years. Registration is free of cost.

The initiative, launched to promote financial security and independence among the elderly, has seen remarkable success over the years. Since its inception, more than 8,500 seniors have registered, and nearly 2,925 individuals have successfully secured employment opportunities.

This year, the organisers are reaching out to employers across diverse fields, including marketing, retail, finance, and teaching, to join the fair. Companies offering more than 10 vacancies will be allotted stalls at the venue, enabling them to directly interact with prospective senior candidates.

Highlighting the purpose of the fair, organisers said it provides a vital platform for retired or semi-retired professionals to remain active, utilise their experience, and gain financial stability in their later years. For many participants, it has also been a source of renewed confidence and social engagement.

Employers and job seekers interested in the fair can contact 080-42426565 or 9243737214, or visit the official website: nightingalesjobs60plus.com for more details.

With growing awareness about senior employability, the fair continues to inspire and empower older adults to find meaningful roles in society.
