Bengaluru: The Bengaluru Traffic Police have strengthened their fleet with the induction of five new electric patrol vehicles donated by Numerous Motors under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, aimed at enhancing traffic management and emergency response across the city.

The vehicles were flagged off on Monday at a ceremony attended by Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh, Karthik Reddy and senior officials from Numerous Motors.

CSR initiative boosts traffic policing

As part of the CSR initiative, Numerous Motors donated five customised Diplo electric patrol vehicles designed specifically for police operations.

The vehicles are equipped with modern features, including public address systems, sirens, beacon lights, high-intensity search lights, mobile data terminal holders, utility storage compartments and helmets for field personnel. These additions are expected to improve the effectiveness of traffic police while on duty.

Faster response and greener mobility

The new electric patrol vehicles will be deployed at traffic police stations across Bengaluru to strengthen on-ground patrolling, enable quicker responses to traffic congestion and emergencies, and improve overall road safety management.

Officials said the induction of electric vehicles would not only enhance the operational efficiency and mobility of traffic personnel but also support environmentally sustainable policing by promoting the use of clean-energy transportation.

The initiative reflects the growing collaboration between the corporate sector and law enforcement agencies in adopting innovative and eco-friendly solutions for urban traffic management.

With Bengaluru witnessing increasing traffic volumes and congestion, the addition of these specialised electric patrol vehicles is expected to help police respond more efficiently to incidents while contributing to the city’s broader sustainability goal
