A 24-year-old Indigo Airlines customer care executive, Sneha I, lost her life in a tragic road accident when the office cab she was in collided with a stationary bus in Bengaluru during the early hours of Monday.

Sneha, originally from Madurai, had been residing at Anwar Layout near Shampur Main Road. She was accompanied by her 21-year-old colleague, Kausar Khanum, who was also hurt in the crash. The car was driven by 28-year-old Vinay, who picked them up from their residence.

The fatal collision occurred around 4:30 am close to the ITC factory near the Tarabanahalli gate. According to police, the driver chose to use a service road in an attempt to reach the airport faster, as the two employees were reportedly running late.

Unfortunately, a bus affiliated with a private company was halted by the roadside to collect workers, and Vinay reportedly failed to notice it in time. His vehicle slammed into the rear of the bus with great force, severely damaging the front of the car.

Police officials stated that the impact suggested high speed. All three individuals were quickly taken to a nearby hospital. While Khanum and Vinay survived with injuries, Sneha succumbed to the crash.

The Chikkajala traffic police have registered a case against both Vinay and the bus driver. Authorities are also investigating whether Vinay was intoxicated at the time, with test results pending.

Indigo Airlines expressed deep sorrow, offering condolences and full support to the affected families and officials.
