Bengaluru: Two held for robbing truck driver

Bengaluru: The Yelahanka New Town police have arrested two robbers who attacked a truck driver and escaped with Rs. 18,000. The incident happened on Saturday July 9.

The police have seized a bike and cash from the accused.

Madhu (23) and Surya (25), two Puttenahalli, Yelahanka residents, were arrested by police.

According to sources, the accused entered the truck while the driver and the cleaner were sleeping inside after parking it close to Puttenahalli Lake. When the driver tried to raise an alarm, the accused threatened him with a knife.

They assaulted him and stole the cash. The accused were apprehended on Sunday and remanded in judicial custody based on CCTV footage.
