A Reddit post by a 23-year-old woman from Bengaluru has gone viral after she invited users to “judge me/roast me for my financial decisions.” Detailing her monthly expenses and lifestyle, she revealed that despite spending around ₹70,000 a month, she still manages to save ₹1 lakh.

Many were taken aback by her impressive monthly earnings of ₹1.7 lakh at such a young age. She works remotely and provided a breakdown of her expenses, including ₹27K for her 1BHK flat, ₹199 for Netflix, ₹2K for Claude Pro, ₹15K for food, ₹10K dining out, ₹499 for water, ₹700 for electricity, and ₹10K on gifts and purchases for her parents each month.

Despite the substantial spending, she clarified, “I can’t pinpoint but it’s usually 70K a month. And I save around 1L a month.” Her reasoning for her lifestyle resonated with many: “I know I can do better, but I really don’t want to live horribly in my youth to save money.” She also shared that she doesn’t smoke, drink, or party, but enjoys spending on her family and exploring good food.

In response to curiosity about her job, she explained that she had switched roles multiple times within a year and mentioned that her college wasn’t a factor in securing a high-paying job, stating, “I’m literally from a VIT equivalent institute lol.”
