The mela boasts a vibrant display of mango varieties like Alphonso, Mallika, Kesar, Dasheri, Raspuri, Totapuri, Imam Pasand, and Badami, attracting mango lovers from across the city to indulge in purchases of organically grown mangoes sourced from different parts of Karnataka.

With 70 stalls lining the lanes of the botanical garden, the mela is scheduled to run for approximately fifteen days, offering visitors a diverse selection of mangoes to choose from. Despite concerns raised by farmers about low crop yields due to scanty rainfall this season, the mela continues to draw crowds.

Farmers, while expressing apprehension about their profits, are hopeful for better weather conditions in the upcoming seasons to improve yield. Despite the challenges, vendors, some of whom have been participating in the mela for over a decade, remain committed to showcasing their produce to thousands of visitors.

The Bengaluru Mango Mela, set amidst the lush greenery of Lalbagh gardens, remains a popular attraction for both local residents and tourists, offering a delightful respite amid the bustling city life.
