Bengaluru’s Pothole Woes Get a Musical Spin with Vickypedia’s Viral Parody
In a city known for its pothole-ridden roads and constant traffic chaos, Bengaluru content creator Vickypedia has once again struck a chord with his latest viral parody song, ‘Mori Ukkaite Neeru Tumbaite’. Set to the tune of Krishnam Pranaya Sakhi’s ‘Dwapara,’ the 37-second remix humorously highlights the city’s struggles with waterlogged streets, overflowing drains, and potholes that have only worsened with the monsoon rains.
The lyrics, which loosely translate to “drains are overflowing, water has filled up, and potholes are full,” perfectly encapsulate the daily frustrations of Bengaluru residents. The song goes on to poke fun at auto and cab drivers demanding exorbitant fares due to the rains and ends with Vickypedia deciding to take a day off from work to avoid the weather entirely.
Since being posted five days ago, the video has garnered around 19 lakh views on YouTube. Fans flooded the comment section with praise, noting how Vickypedia uses humor to address serious civic issues. His earlier spoofs, like ‘Contractor Chandru and his diggings,’ focused on Bengaluru’s pothole problem caused by repeated roadwork, also gained widespread attention.
