Bengaluru: BESCOM officials, arrested in connection with the tragic electrocution of a pregnant woman and her nine-month-old baby due to a broken electric wire in Kadugodi, Whitefield on November 19, have been released on bail.

Kadugodi police had detained five individuals, including Bescom AE Chetan, JE Rajanna, and station operator Manju, on charges of negligence. However, they have now been released on station bail. Last year, a transformer blast in Bengaluru resulted in a young woman being engulfed in flames, highlighting Bescom’s negligence. Unfortunately, another tragic incident has occurred now.
