Bengaluru: The BESCOM is all set to start high-speed electric vehicle charging centres in 12 places across the city soon. In these charging points, an electric vehicle will be charged in one and a half hours.
These proposed centres are coming up at BESCOM corporate office in KR circle, Katrihutte near Indira canteen, Murugeshplaya on HAL road, Dommalur flyover, Mahadevapura, Banasavadi near police station, Yelhanka near police station, Mattikere near flyover, Peenya, Byatarayanapura (on Mysore road), BTM Layout, and HSR layout second sector.
These centres function round the clock. The fare is yet to be fixed.
According to the state transport department, over 9,000 electric vehicles are operated across the city and such charging centres will be of great help to the users.
