Bengaluru Deputy Commissioner of Police (West) S Girish stated that carrying weapons in public and recording such visuals is a punishable offence under the law. Following the video’s circulation, authorities at Basaveshwar Nagar Police Station promptly filed an FIR against the duo.
Officials confirmed that the arrests were made under the Arms Act, 1959, and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. Law enforcement stressed that brandishing weapons in public spaces creates panic and is strictly prohibited.
Both individuals are now facing legal action, and further investigation is ongoing. Authorities have warned that similar violations will lead to strict consequences.
