Bengaluru: On Saturday November 13, AICC General Secretary and Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala and spokesperson Dr. Gourav Vallabh said that the Bitcoin scam began when Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai was Home Minister and that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is protecting Bommai.

According to the sources, Surjewala said that, “It is the country’s largest-ever government coverup, and instead of taking it seriously, Modi has told Bommai not to be worried. Even though Bommai met with the PM and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday November 11, their silence on the topic is shocking.”

They said that Srikrishna, the accused, delivered a statement before the Bengaluru Metropolitan Magistrate in December 2020 admitting to hacking.

According to Whale Alert, a Twitter account that analyses large-scale cryptocurrency transactions, shows that on December 1, 2020, and April 14, 2021, Bitcoins from the 2016 Bitfinex Bitcoin exchange were transferred. The value is $704.8 million (about Rs. 5,240 crore),” they added.
